What is RR H.O.M.E.? - H.O.M.E. is a Christian-based support group in Round Rock, TX, for mothers of home schoolers or mothers who are considering home schooling. H.O.M.E. stands for Home-educators Offering Moms Encouragement. The name explains it all. We offer field trips, Bible studies, moms night outs and weekly play time. Our group is extremely active, and something is always going on. We are currently expanding our calendar due to the rapid growth of our group. Right now our group consists of about 80 families with children from babies to teenagers. We have many things from which to choose, so if you can't attend one event, there is always another.
Is there a fee to join? - Yes. There is a $15 yearly membership fee due every September.
Are there other requirements? - Yes, each member needs to attend two Monthly Meeitngs and volunteer once during the school year.

Special Classes and Events - We occasionally have special classes set up for our children to attend, such as writing classes, Keepers of the Faith and American Girl Club.
Parties - Parties planned for the some of the holidays. In the past we have had events like a Happy Birthday Jesus Party at Christmas, a Valentine card exchange, and even an Easter Celebration focused on Christ, not the Easter Bunny.
What our group offers Moms
Mom's Nights Out (MNO) - MNOs are hosted monthly in member's homes or restaurant. It is a time for encouragement, support and getting to know one another.
Monthly Meetings - Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month, August - May. Meetings are held at Teravist Church at 7pm. There is usually a main topic and occasionally a speaker.
Leadership Meetings - This meeting is open to all RRHOME members. It is held to discuss policies and leadership changes.
Email Support - We have three e-mail/bulletin boards to keep you notified of all our activities. These boards connect our group on a daily basis, providing a forum for real life issues and a place to build friendships.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide Christian-based support in the area of home education for home schooling families in the Round Rock area. We wish to provide a Christian atmosphere for the growth of friendships that will unite and encourage one another. As home schooling parents, our desire is to develop Godly, assured, eager-to-learn, self-disciplined children who have the appropriate and necessary skills and abilities with which to perform in society.
H.O.M.E.'s Purpose
The goal of H.O.M.E. is to provide a Christian atmosphere for the support and friendship of parents and children of home schooling families in the Round Rock Area. From each other, we hope to grow in our faith in God, share methods for home schooling, learn strategies in organization, education, curriculum and discipline. This will be attained through group meetings for adults, along with outings and gatherings for the whole family.
H.O.M.E.'s Biblical Basis
1. The Bible, in it's original manuscripts, as a whole or in part, is without error and is the infallible revelation of God to man. It not only contains the Word of God but is the Word of God. "All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;" (2 Tim 3:16)
2. God eternally exists as three persons of one Godhead: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father sent his Son Jesus through virgin birth, in human form, to exist as God and man on Earth, leading a sinless life. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:1-3, 14,). "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Gen. 1:1, 2).
3. We believe that we are all sinners by nature and by practice and therefore imperfect in our flesh. Jesus paid the price for our sins by death upon a cross, and then rising again on the third day, that all who receive Him may be forgiven. "for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
4. Salvation is a free gift offered to all who will accept, and is not something to be earned by works. Salvation has already been purchased for us by the sacrificial death of Jesus. "For the wages of sins death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
5. We believe that we have the right to raise and teach our children in a Godly manner and that they are gifts given to us from God, placed under our stewardship. We believe we have the right to teach them at home. "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart form it." (Pr. 22:6) "and these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. (Deut.6:6,7) "And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." (Eph. 6:4)
